Do you remember the rhythmic hum of mum’s (or nana’s) sewing machine, as she sewed beautifully crafted designs for her loved ones, in her little corner at home?

Maybe she had a decorative treadle machine that has remained in your family as a treasured heirloom, or has long since been sold & is cherished by another seamstress.

You might have kept some of her gorgeous creations, which were not only aesthetically beautiful, but were also versatile, with a lasting quality.

It is these memories, this beauty, this versatility, & this quality craftsmanship which I aspire to capture in each of my handmade tapestry fabric bag creations.

And so this is “Her Little Corner” - which is my little corner in Melbourne - where I share my love of designing & sewing “Mary Poppins” Victorian carpetbag inspired bags & pouches.

Utilising new & vintage unused tapestry fabric, & either hand-sewn or using my treadle sewing machine, each one-of-a-kind or limited-edition creation is made to last ... creating a timeless statement piece to be cherished for years.
